"Hope" he cried aloud that day
Many gave him heed
Promises many he did make
Yet still we are in need
Of plain truth in simple things
And hope for the poor
Yet deception is what he brings
And we are gouged even more
One day we'll make a stand
And stomach nothing more
Than calling a man a man
And casting out the whore

Were I laden with wealth and fame,
And countless treasures of many names,
I would still maintain my stance,
That I loved you at first glance.
My voice has sang your name at night.
Your eyes have been my guiding light.
Let my hands caress your face.
Offer me yourself in haste.
View me as I stand for you.
Ever be my Lover true.
Flame has tempered my desire.
Over time I do so tire.
Resolve is what drives me now,
My knee to failure will never bow.
Every man will meet his end,
Though with Death I will contend,
Outstanding will be my debt.
My life in hell I'll gladly bet.
Offer my flesh to the Sun,
Resign myself to be undone.
Reaffirming my life's pledge
Of Love around you like a hedge.
Willing will I cast aside,
Every ounce of life and pride,
Verily, to be with you
Enduring all, my heart stands true.
And countless treasures of many names,
I would still maintain my stance,
That I loved you at first glance.
My voice has sang your name at night.
Your eyes have been my guiding light.
Let my hands caress your face.
Offer me yourself in haste.

I closed my eyes and I was there
Desert wind playing in your hair
The smell of flowers filled my mind
As I took you from behind
Your waist in my hands like a fragile vase
Your lips on mine I still do taste
Skin soft like silken wears
A cry of passion through you tears
Your hands electric on my face
Your body in the sand I do trace
Those times are long since past
I knew then they would never last
Desert wind playing in your hair
The smell of flowers filled my mind
As I took you from behind
Your waist in my hands like a fragile vase
Your lips on mine I still do taste
Skin soft like silken wears
A cry of passion through you tears
Your hands electric on my face
Your body in the sand I do trace
Those times are long since past
I knew then they would never last
